Essay Contest

Bullying comes in many forms— name-calling, leaving people out, spreading rumors, or physically hurting someone. And it can happen in person, in writing, online, on cell phones, in school, on the bus, at home, anywhere. It is not a normal rite of passage, it has serious consequences and it is NOT acceptable. Can you write a 100 word essay about how we can “Listen, Speak, and/or Stand Up” to get the message across that bullying is not acceptable!

All 4th-6th Graders are eligible to enter. Entries are due to PSHA Office by May 20, 2013. One winner will be selected who will receive $30.

Drawing Contests

PSHA has added a new category for BHSM this year!  We are asking for third-sixth graders to draw their own interpretation of the Anti-Bullying theme.  For Anti-Bullying some ideas are:  draw a visual symbol for No Bullying, make a list to explain bullying and how to help stop it, draw a comic strip, draw two people communicating, draw a group of children playing well together.

Use a sheet of 8 ½ x 11in. paper, but please make sure to write identifying information on it!
