PSHA Leadership & Advocacy Network (PLAN)

PSHA Leadership & Advocacy Network (PLAN) is a PSHA initiative to promote advocacy, leadership, mentorship and networking among those in the professions of speech-language pathology and audiology. This initiative includes continuing education opportunities, as well as other programs and events that support collaborative engagement of students and professionals across the state.

PSHA Leadership Development Program

Apply by November 22, 2022, to enroll in the inaugural cohort of the PSHA Leadership Development Program

Applications are open to Clinicians, Researchers and Students.

To apply: submit a letter of intent (max 1 page) and a resume/CV to psha@psha.org

If accepted the cost is:

  • $50 for students
  • $150 for participants

Note: We have number of sponsored positions to offer (i.e., this could be free for student applicants)

Program:

  • Opening event – late November date to be determined
  • Six leadership webinars and discussions (note that 5 of our fall conference seminars meet this requirement!)
  • Graduation Celebration at Convention in April

To support practitioners with advocacy in the workplace, PSHA is offering access to a free webinar (originally presented during the Fall 2022 PSHA event) presented by our lobbyist, Angie Armbrust. The presentation covers information about pertinent issues related to governmental processes, legislation and how to take specific information and meaningful action, such as talking to legislators.
